MORGAN MATTHIAS
Antwerp is one of the best cities for a long weekend trip, where every brick, like a delicate chocolate, tells its own story. But the city does not live only in the past. Modern Antwerp is all about fashion, design and culture. It is the capital of fashion and design.
Need To See
Our trip to Antwerp was exceptional because we had the best guides, Morgan and Matthias, yes, yes, the most beautiful and in love couple, whose photo you want to like three times when you see them on the feed. Matthias is a DJ and a native of Flanders; he, as a local, knows so many secrets about the city that you can listen to him forever. Morgan is an American dancer of the Antwerp Opera. He changed the continent to develop his talent, and as a reward, he also received massive love. If in the photo you felt that there is some magic between these two, then believe me, it is immeasurable in real life.
Our route is designed according to the logic of a circle and includes the most exciting places.
Central Station - Kievit
The heart of Antwerp is located at the railway station. The walls of its corridors, as guardians of traditions, preserve the echo of the footsteps of thousands of passengers, and every detail in the decor, from elegant mosaics to majestic lanterns, tells its poem.
Antwerp diamond district
The rhythm of Antwerp's life beats not only in its architectural monuments but also in the palms of the artisans who work in the Diamond District. This exceptional part of the city is the world's diamond trading center (every third diamond agreement is signed here), where gems speak their language.

The Opera House in Antwerp, founded in the 17th century, is one of the oldest opera houses in Europe. The theater received its Royal status from the Belgian King Leopold. The theater was noted for outstanding artists who performed on its stage for many decades. Among them are Maria Callas, Luciano Pavarotti, and Renata Tebaldi. Morgan is dancing here.
Opera Ballet Vlaanderen
Like a crossbow arrow, the bridge shoots into the sky, pointing to the limitless possibilities of the future, while its supports are rooted in Antwerp's antiquity.
Parkbrug
Zaha's Diamond
MAS - Museum aan de Stroom
A beacon pointing the way to knowledge.
This building, created by the outstanding architect Zaha Hadid, embodies her vision of Antwerp between the past and the future.
Nello & Patrache Statue
In the stone streets of Antwerp, among the architectural masterpieces and mysteries of the past, there is a special place where the immortal story of the friendship between a boy and his faithful dog lives.
This library is a collection of ancient books and an eternal guardian of history, culture, and knowledge.
Heritage Library Hendrik
Scheldt Docks South
A living legend of Antwerp. Ships have been arriving here for centuries, bringing dreams from all over the world. You can also meet them here.
Your compass to masterpieces. From Rubens to Basquiat, the Museum stores the works of the greatest masters from different eras, from ancient to modern.
Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp
Everyone knows you must go to Belgium for chocolate, waffles, French fries, and beer. Antwerp restaurants are much more enjoyable. Thanks to its unique location, already in the Golden Age, the city harbor began to receive various products, drinks, and spices from all over the world. The utterly unusual mix of flavors is the hallmark of Flemish cuisine. There is a very high level of consumer culture here.
Matthias regrets that there are not enough techno clubs in Antwerp, but everything is there. Despite the very modest size of the city, there is room to dance. And there is even something to choose.
We recommend reading about the Antwerp Six in fashion guides. But this city has another phenomenon - thrift stores or re-sales if you like. Here, they appeared long before it became mainstream. They don't just exist on a level with concept stores; they are much more enjoyable-natural treasures for authentic fashion lovers. Our golden catch at Rosier41 is Miu Miu men's trousers from the 2001 collection for €70. Size 48. Perfect condition. A delight for connoisseurs.
Sleep, or the lack of it (if you were attentive above in To Dance), is a crucial element of travel. Antwerp has decent places for a good night's sleep, with unusual designs and concepts, comfortable beds, and good sound insulation.
